Another stupid question?
First of all,I don't know all the original ideas/facts surrounding the complete scientific theory of evolution.
But getting right to my question, which is... WHY are all the planets spherical in shape, excluding of course the obvious flaws in/on the surfaces. Wouldn't there be a chance that at least one of the major stars would be shaped like a square, triangle,or other abstract geometric shape? What in the orginal concept of the Big Bang explains why this is,if it does at all?? How could such a cataclysmic event cause such perfectly shaped celestial objects? Please excuse my lack of insight into this, but this has been bugging me lately. Any input is appreciated... |

Why would these things have anything to do with evolution, which is concerned with the history of life? The theory of evolution does not address the origin of the universe, or of the solar system, or of the earth. It does not address the laws of physics. You should be asking these questions of an astrophysicist--they are far outside the scope of anything we talk about here.

First of all, evolution has nothing to do with the big bang or astrophysics.
Secondly, the short answer to your question is GRAVITY. The Big Bang is really irrelevant to the question as well, exept how it relates to how the physical laws of the universe behave. Jamie |

Evolution/Creation Did life evolve or was it Created? This means only biological evolution is relevant in this forum! xr |

Since this doesn't concern Evolution,
off to Science and Skeptism. |
