Hydrogen Bomb in Mahabharata? Can scientists on this list analyze Na crystals?
Are there any scientists on this list who have access to the tools needed to analyze salts from the dead sea and compare them to the salts found in the aftermath of the Hiroshima blast? I find it interesting that even Oppenheimer was of the opinion that atomic warfare is nothing new. He was familiar with the Baghavad Gita and the Mahabharata. These sites go into detail about some interesting archaeological findings in addition to the dead sea and the similarity of the dead sea salts to those found shortly after Hiroshima.

Oh sweet Jesus no! I read that a while ago, as well as other "Nexus Magazine" "articles"; you can't be serious, right? The passage quoted from the Mahabharata could be seen as the witnessing of a small asteroid impact, like the Tunguska event in 1901. The whole "ancient nuclear warfare" idea is just an extension of the ancient astronaut concept, which is patently ludicrous.
The vitrified salts, et cetera, would have been caused by asteroid impacts; some before humanity ever became extant. There is no serious reason to suggest that aliens detonated nuclear bombs, when the asteroids could explain the evidence without all the other bizarre claims. Yes, it might be true, but it's hardly worth considering. Sorry, but when I read that essay, I got a bit ticked-off with the author jumping to these stupid conclusions. |

Why always assume the worst? Maybe what they found were just really big wafers that the aliens left after they build their huge supercomputer (also known as god)
Once again we see that you can build some weird story around every fact. |

Sitchin makes the same claim in his book "The Wars of Gods & Men". As much as I enjoy the whole ‘Ancient Astronauts’ business it’s too easy to attribute all this stuff to natural celestial phenomena like asteroids, comets, meteors and such.
BTW David Childress is the author of one of these ancient atomic warfare books, big red flag. He’ll write a book about almost anything and try to make it really weird, he has dozens of books. He is a big fan of that Polar/crustal shift catastrophe stuff as well. |

Intensity : Marduck what do you attribute it to ? What do you think Tiamat was? What do you think Osiris was? What do you think God was? What do you think the Annunaki referred to? Pure myth? And oh, talking of easiness, which one is easier, dismissing it as pure myth or trying to interpret the texts and early writings? [ October 14, 2002: Message edited by: Intensity ]</p> |
