I just heard that an accused pedophile priest has killed himself.

Yeah, I heard about this recently, and the first thing that popped in my head was, "Must've been guilty." While I can't fully condone killing them all, I think they should be prosecuted just like non-clergy pedophiles and then put in with the general prison population. Let 'prison justice' deal with these sickos. They say prison inmates seem to really dislike child molesters. No, I say keep 'em alive so that they have to live with what they've done. <img src="graemlins/boohoo.gif" border="0" alt="[Boo Hoo]" />

So violence is condemned and condoned all in the same breath?

Seems a little inconsistent to me ... why not condemn the violence appropriately and be done with it?

I didn`t mean to sound as if I condone killing anyone. I just want there to be no more priests and it doesn`t matter to me if they take off that stupid halloween costume and get real jobs or all move to a desert island and live in a cave.

It doesn`t matter to me how it happens. I just want their numbers and influence on our population to diminish and fade away into history. We don`t need the crap they are peddling anymore and it does more harm than good.

How so? Are the priests all going to quit the church,admit that they`ve been lying to the world for centuries and stop trying to stifle nature?

Good riddance to bad rubbish. It's too bad that the guy didn't face secular justice before killing himself, but at least he won't be abusing any more kids.

This is a problem too. While the Catholic influence is fading, the mainstream Evangelical Protestant influence seems to growing. I think I'd rather have the Catholics. They're much more reasonable that Evangelical Protestants.
