Angry Christians seek special rights

Quote:
ORLANDO, Fla. - A conservative Christian organization wants the no-fly zone over Walt Disney World to be removed so it can fly banners touting an anti-homosexuality Web site over a gay festival this week.

The Virginia-based Family Policy Network claims the no-fly zone infringes upon its right to preach freely during the Gay Days celebration.

...The airspace above Disney World has been free of aircraft since March, when the government said the resort was a potential terrorism target.

When you hear our village idiot (AKA "President") speak, what kind of impression do you have of the U.S.? How could your opinion go any lower than that? You must be burying your heads in the sand to not already have an opinion compatible with such events. (Perhaps you have been afraid to admit the truth, because the U.S. is the most powerful country in the world, and that, combined with the lunacy of a significant portion of the population, is, perhaps, too frightening for you to contemplate.)

The U.S. has always had the most outrageous religious nutcases. If you consider the first history of Europeans coming to what is now the U.S., many were motivated to leave Europe because their religion was unacceptable to most people. They came here, and their influence is still felt today.

The No-Fly Zone was designated over fears of a terrorist attack, not to limit free expression!

It almost seems like requesting to bring sharp objects onto a plane to perform some sort of a religious ceremony.

Fundies need to give their heads a shake.

Which is why I always say we should just let the fundies have their way and establish a theocracy. No surer way to destroy religion than to marry it to the government.

I disagree. Have you forgotten about the middle ages?
