Default "Last days"--of the law?

In one of his articles, JP Holding makes the argument that all mentions of the "Last days" in the bible refer to the passing of the Old Covenant(The Law) and a replacement with the Kingdom of Heaven, which is on Earth already in the Church. However there seem to be significant problems with this:

-The "Law" has not really passed away...it is still practiced in Judaism, although not entirely the way it was thousands of years ago.
-Paul's letters were primarily aimed toward Gentile Christians, and not Messianic Jewish people to who the term would make more sense.
-Many sections in the bible refer to an Old Earth and Old Heaven soon to "pass away" presumabely by fire and then be recreated in a new messianic age. So the Messianic age would not start until the *whole universe* was gone, not just the removal of the Old Covenant.
-The New Covenant, according to Jerimiah 31, still contains the Law.
