I might ask a question such as When was the Red Panda discovered? I would capital ise it. If I said 'said you see that red panda in the zoo?' I would not. This is because, rightly or wrongly, I think when an term for individual is applied to all members of a species than a capital should be used. Otherwise I should use the word men. I am probably grammatically wrong for me to do this but I have admitted on the board I am poorly educated, I didn't finish highschool so my understanding of all the nuances of the English language is properly not good. I admit I didn't use a capital M in my first three posts but this is because I was trying to avoid people like you jumping to conclusions. And jump to conclusions you do, otherwise you wouldn't have assumed that I was a 'he'. |

“I regret that the irony of your respective positions escapes you. By availing yourselves of human technology you place us at the apex of evolution, a position you deny we occupy.
I do not call for the worship of humanity. I do raise my voice against the idiocy of assigning existential equivalence to humans and insects. I think the universe has no scale of significance regarding the humans, insects, beings or objects within it. It is up to us to value what we will. Should either of you ever crawl out of the woodwork in my home be forewarned, you are fair game." I Still don’t get it, I can’t play with human made toys unless I think humans are wonderful beings? I play with my dog, but I don’t think dogs rule the universe? I swim in the ocean but I don’t think the ocean is bloody god almighty either. And if I find a cockroach in my house, it gets stepped on, unless it pays me rent! otherwise they don't bother me, I don't bother them (same way I feel about humans) |

Pariah,
If you actually found humanism irrational, if I believed that you were actually so foolish as to think that there's no physical reason to treat other people well, I'd be afraid of you. What kind of psychopathic scum can't think of an actual, real reason to actually be nice to people? Yeesh, good thing you've simply failed to think your position through! |
