Historically, the position of biblical infallibility is a relatively recent newcomer to Christianity. It would be well within Annabel's right to claim that you have left the One True Catholic Church started by Peter at the request of Jesus. She would never say this, but it is an arguable position. Others might even call you a bibliolator. But the bottom line is by claiming you are correct and they are not is not conducive for those who are called to be Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Look at it this way. Within the Christian faith, what does it take to make it into heaven? You pretty much have to accept the divinity of Christ. The rest are details - so try not to get so worked up about it. |
