Yep, and he was the baddest of the bunch, IMHO.

Woohoo Finally! Hello everyone. Please understand that I know about as much about the evolutionary theory that a mouse knows about cheese on a piece of wood. So please, be kind

Welcome, unworthyone. I'm looking forward to watching the exchange with you and the gang because I'm still learning this evolution stuff myself. Also, reading a discussion on the subject is more interesting than cracking open a science book.

Welcome to the forum unworthyone,

I hope you'll go the distance on this debate, and learn as much as you can about the topic at hand.

Where would you like to start out at? I know you've mentioned that you know little about the subject (and in fact, if I read your description right, are both attracted and wary of the subject).

Is this to be a learning debate, where we introduce you to the key points of evolutionary theory or something else?

Evolution is a complex subject. Considering that is a cornerstone for all biological science and study, I hope you're prepared for something that some people spend their entire professional and academic careers studying. We will of course, not need to travel so deeply, but I hoped you realized that this is not a light subject.

Most creationists make poor showings in such debates for partially this reason. There is such a wealth and preponderance of solid, verifiable, and reputable evidence, and acceptance of evolution in the field of science, that the sheer amount of data that can be presented, can be overwhelming.

Just in case you've not seen it, http://www.talkorigins.org/ has a great FAQ that can teach you a lot about what evolution is and is not.

http://www.cs.colorado.edu/~lindsay/creation/index.html

Is another nice site that is a good place to learn some background, not just on evolution, but specifically the debate between evolutionists and creationists.

I'm not meaning to suggest that either of these are prerequisites for discussing on this board, but I wanted to give you these two resources so you would have them should you want to do some research between postings. A lot of what is likely to be discussed, has already been encapsulated there.

Best wishes,

.Typhon.

Unworthyone only lasted two days before he left. I guess he couldn't handle us deconstructing the lies he had been taught.
