Godless March in San Diego
I have received this notice:
On November 2, 2002, the same day as the Godless march in Washington D.C., people who doubt the existence of God and other deities will march at the federal building in downtown San Diego, at the intersection of Front St. and Broadway. The march will begin at 10:00 a.m. The march was initiated by the Atheist Coalition (<a href="http://www.angelfire.com/ca6/sandiegoatheist" target="_blank">San Diego Atheist web site</a>, (858)459-8273) in support of the march in Washington D.C. "Our goal is to get press coverage of the march. We want politicians and the public to see that we exist. We want religionists to stop portraying non-believers as being immoral, and we want people who secretly doubt God to feel more comfortable coming out of the closet. "People outside of San Diego are welcome to attend. The location of the march is accessible by the San Diego Trolley, Amtrak's Coaster and Surfliner trains, and bus transportation. "To those attendees who find that they might arrive late--please attend anyways. Some of the marchers are going to linger around pleasant downtown San Diego after the march." |
