Yes, I know several atheists named Christian. Christian is a fairly common name around here, and the percentage of atheists is greater than the percentage of Christians. (At least in my age group, where I live.) So, it isn't very strange to have atheists named Christian, it's just a name.

Ah yes, I can see how that might be in your part of the world. In my part, people name their kids Christian in relation with the religion. ..but I live in the "Bible-Belt".
..and when I think of your part of the world and the word "Christian", I think of the Super Furry Animals song called "RunChristianRun". Great tune! |

My Grandfather's name was Christian and he was pretty much an apatheist as far as I could tell. I've always liked the name, and never really thought about it in the context of it being the same name as a religion that I'm not too fond of. Funny that.

Yes, I know an athiest called Christian.
I'm not sure if he could be classified as an athiest, because he wanted to destroy all religions. His motive, as far as my limited mind could tell, was that the kids in elementary thought he was Christian due to his name. |
