And Amos, I second what alli said. While I almost never agree with what you write, I do enjoy reading much of it. |

Barry's problem was that he "gave his life to Christ" and was "born again." Barry had become a new creation and had been assured that "a one way ticked to heaven awaits him when he dies." We all know what that means and I will argue that Barry had entered the race when he "gave his life to Christ" but since Barry did not complete the race before he died Barry will not go to heaven. Notice that Barry had planned to go to church that night(???) which indicates that he was "on fire for the Lord." My point is that Barry displayed the true meaning of the word "lukewarm" as described in Rev.4:14-17--and a whole bunch of others like that. |

Please be not offended by my position which I state on a religious discussion board for the discovery of truth. |

Your sympathy gets you no where. Basically, its random luck that you picked the right religion and were born in the right place in the world and didn't die before you were baptized. Barry is screwed, he didn't send Billy enough money therefore hes gonna burn.

As far as modern Catholic thinking goes, Protestants are still members of the Catholic Church, simply fallen away. The Church's official stance is that Protestants may go to heaven. |

Why does Barry not know this being, god you call it? Surely it's the fault of this god bloke that Barry doesn't worship him. God, whichever one is the right one, is supposedly omnipotent so why does Barry not know about it from birth? You would think it would simply be a part of life like breathing.
