YEC -- Meteors
Just something I was wondering about today , after watching something on Discovery Channel.
How do YEC's deal with all the craters from meteor impacts? I saw a picture which showed the craters in the earth from meteors. There were really alot of those and also some really big ones. Now if all those meteors hit the earth in a timespan of 6000 years , wouldnt they have to appear in written history? Some of those impacts would have been hard to miss. And even stranger , with all those meteors in 6000 years , shouldnt all life on earth be uuuh... dead? If I said something really stupid , please ignore this post =p |

I think they go the other way, and argue instead that if the earth were really 4 billion years old, there ought to be a million times as many craters.

YECs can't use the "God created it that way" defense for craterrs - if they were created preflood, wouldn't that place them underneath virtually all fossils?
The only explanation I've heard is that there was a period of catastrophe around the time of the Flood, and then the earth was bombarded with all that stuff. I'm sure I'm missing some ideas here, but that was the jist of it. |

None of the YEC are going to come here; it saves them the effort of waiting for the mean man with science to leave by not going to him in the first place.

Yeah , as long as you ingore the huge waves that meteors would create , which would smash Noah's boat. I guess he had Gods Spiritual Shield cast or something.
