Here are some links to actual critique and analysis of "Scaling the secular city" by J.P. Moreland. Infidels.org search engine many times will turn up a good wealth of information from those who have preceded you in reading materials you may be considering.

<a href="http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/richard_carrier/moreland.html" target="_blank">http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/richard_carrier/moreland.html</a>

<a href="http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/jim_lippard/scaling.html" target="_blank">http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/jim_lippard/scaling.html</a>

<a href="http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/wesley_robbins/moreland.html" target="_blank">http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/wesley_robbins/moreland.html</a>

This was in the search results as well and I think it's important to study what apologetics is all about to sharpen your inner critic.

Sorry TOTO, I just tried the shortening method you described and each time it converted the URL's into <a href="http:///" target="_blank">http:///</a> which leads to nothing..

Peter did write:

Quote:
It is quite possible that this person has in mind Jesus and Christian Origins Outside the New Testament, which is an actual book written by F.F. Bruce. I was able to find it at a college library and read most of it.

Main Author: Bruce, F. F. (Frederick Fyvie),
Title: Jesus and Christian origins outside the New Testament,
Publisher: Grand Rapids, William B. Eerdmans 1974.
It is available on line at AbeBooks (www.abebooks.com) for $10 (plus postage and handling, of course).
