Well it's also obvious to children that paste is delicious. Should I be expecting it in all fine restaurants soon?

Apparently children are more likely to believe that the trees cause the wind because when it's windy they see trees moving. (I heard this in some educational programme where a misguided counsellor was saying that we shouldn't try and correct the little dears when they come up with this sort of thing in case it stifles their capacity for creative thought.)

So if kids tend to see something and reason backwards rather than forwards, shouldn't we just assume the answer is the exact opposite of what they come up with?

Albion...good point. I remember thinking that people were only supposed to BREATHE when they were laying down and something was wrong with me because I breathed all the time. Why? Because the only time I could SEE others breathing was when they were laying down.

My 4 yr old niece has an imaginary sister named "Out" who wears rocket shoes, lives on the moon and speaks another language (which my niece will speak in if you ask her to). Not too difficult to get a kid to believe in a sky daddy with this kind of imagination.

I sent my view to this heritage site. Totally respectful of course.

They are the absolute definition of brainwashers.

"Give it to Mikey, he'll eat anyting!"
or
"Tell that to Mikey, he'll believe anything"

Kids should be allowed to be kids, let them make up their mind about theism and religion when they are old enuogh to understand the complexities of it all.

I believe the psychology world calls it conditioning. And using positive and negative reinforcement to get a child to follow their ways.
+, be good and you will go to paradice. -, be bad and you will go to hell.

A common misunderstanding is that - reinforcement is punishment. It isn't, + & - deal with consequences of actions, good or bad. Stick a key in an outlet, -. Punishment is seperate. Just one of those FYI's
