Welcome. Remember to play nice and all that...

You might want to review the forum rules to determine the best place for your questions before posting. (Less work for me if I don't have to move your posts around after the fact).

Honestly, I applaud anyone who comes here prepared to listen, and to think. Best wishes for a happy stay.

Hi A-finch,
What are these questions you have forr us unbelievers that will shake our foundations? Sounds like fun!

Precicely; "mad dog" at one time used to be more or less synonymous with "rabid dog."

Am I the only one here who's a fan of To Kill A Mockingbird? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

One of the best scenes in any movie, when Scout points to Boo behind the door and says "Why there he is, Mr. Tate. He can tell you his name... "

My favorite scene in To Kill A Mockingbird is after Atticus has lost the case and he is preparing to leave the courtroom. Scout and the black community are waiting in the balcony. As Atticus walks out the Reverend says to Scout, "Stand up...your father is passing." (or something close to that). Very powerfull stuff.

Now to the tough questions. I will start a string under "Existence of God(s)" regarding why atheists must, logically, accept the possibility that God exists. I believe the refusal to do so is a logical flaw in atheism and the foundation from which many errors flow.

I would also enjoy an opportunity to response to critiques and criticisms of the Christian "faith".

I look forward to interesting and engaging dialogue.

You aren't the first to go on this mission here and I have a feeling you won't be the last. Good luck.

Thumbs up

Welcome to the land of reason and thinking, Atticus Finch. Maybe you could start by giving us a brief intro of your background.....what you believed, how you came to faith, what your doctrinal beliefs are now (church, denomination, etc.), and your position on the myths in the OT (ie; literalist or allegorical interpretation)?

Many of us here are ex-fundies, we know the standard christian responses and apologetics, and will enjoy watching you stumble along in your arguments as we did.

Remember...any response where you retreat behind the unsupportable supernatural argument that "godidit", is not a valid position to take here.
