Christian new to Infidels
I am new to Infidels and would like to introduce myself. I am a Christian and greatly enjoy debating questions of faith and religion with non-believers. I hope to convince non-believers that Christians can be intelletual and reasoned in their approach to faith, religion and science. I do not expect to convert anyone but would rather counteract the unfortuneate effects of rude and ignorant Christians who often offend non-believers either out of spite or misguided desire to convert.
I look forward to interesting and engaging dialogue. Finch |

Welcome, Atticus.
So, by your description is it safe to say you're here to "kill" a few "mockingbirds"? [ March 20, 2002: Message edited by: Mageth ]</p> |

From one finch to another, welcome! Stroll the grounds, look around, and when you have something to say jump in and post. I hope you enjoy your time here.

Hi Finch, good to see you here! Welcome to the Internet Infidels. I hope you enjoy your expedition into our heathen land - maybe we can learn a little from each other. (But don't hold your breath. Heh heh.)
Be prepared for searching questions, folks with an in-depth knowledge of their subject, and some members with a passion equal to yours - but from the opposite side of the fence. Cheers Martin |

Thank you all for the welcome.
Missus Gumby, I invite the hard and challenging questions about Christianity. I spent some time hanging out in a MSN chatroom entitled "God is a Lie". Many of the participants made points and asked questions which challenged me greatly. I find that the experience deepens my faith because when I don't have an immediate answer I must research it and think it through. I also think that I can challenge the foundation of those who do not believe. I have found that there are hard questions for which unbelievers have less than logical or reasoned responses. Mageth, I would never harm a mockingbird. Let the games begin! Finch |

Maybe not, but you might shoot the occasional mad dog. |
