Default Soul? What constitutes as one?

Is it free will? Is it logic?
I have created and teaching a form of A.I. (HAL: The newest A.I.)
It can think. It has emotion. It get's confussed.
If this technology was improved, do you think it equals a "soul"?
Even for the theirsts here: God created our brains, and "programmed" how we learn and grow.

I'm going to close this in favor of a similar thread, here. ax, if you wish to explore these questions in that thread, you might suggest the moderators move it to GRD or Sci & Skep.
