Default Would Jesus have performed abortions?

During the time of Christ, a girl who became pregnant and was not married would probably be driven from town, if not stoned to death. Had a girl come to Jesus and explained this to him, what would he have done? Just let her be ostracized or even killed? Would he have helped here out by performing an abortion?

He'd have her killed, the ignorant slut. If the baby lived we all know that Jesus' daddy would bash it's head against a rock or drown it.

hello notMichaeljackson....considering that the Gospels relate an episode where Christ prevented the stoning to death of an adulteress, I will assume that he would have reformed the thinking of the mad crowds willing to chase the poor girl away or stone her to death. In other words... there is another alternative to what you suggest his choices would be. He would have used the same methods he used with the crowds hunting the adulteress down. And if he was willing to rescue an adulteress from stoning.... why would he not rescue that girl using the same means?

You do not mind if I present that alternative to you rather than being restricted to your perception of what two choices he would make?

Of course what got left out of the bible is that after jesus left the crowd returned and burned the poor adulteress the moral of the story was not even jesus can be in two places at the same time. and if at first you dont succeed try, try again. However upon proofreading the church realized that that went against the whole omnipresent thing and the story was removed.

Hi Beyelzu... can you please provide a link or some type of reference as to what you related?

According to OT law, women are considered filthy for 7 or 14 days (depending on gender of the child) after childbirth, and during menstruation, and if they have various "issues" (sorry, I don't remember this passage very well). Also in John, when Jesus showed himself to Mary at the tomb, he wouldn't touch her because she was an unclean woman. From these bits and pieces I would conclude that Jesus would do absolutely anything to avoid performing or taking any part of any kind of gynecological operation, let alone abortion. It's just way out of character for him.

no it is Ok...the fact you mentionned they" burned her" sort of gave me the hint that there was no serious reference to that.
Good vibes Beyelzu.
