There is NO HOPE!!
Whats the point in staying alive? We make babies that make babies that make babies who go and make babies that make babies etc, and thats the meaning to life! As soon as mankind recognized that he was going to die he felt unsure of death, so he then invented God to take care of things. We fill our lives with menial things like tv, music, internet and such, but what happens in the end? We die and thats it. There's no goal humanity is trying to achieve, There's no purpose for us to be here, nothing! No hope! NADA!! We build our empires and in 6000 years it'l be destroyed! Even when we recognize that WE are god, there is still no hope!! We're the same as the animals: We live and fight to stay alive just to die.
Why bother staying alive anyway?? Does anyone share my thoughts?? Am I alone (yet again). |

I haven't made any babies and I generally have a pretty good time while I'm alive.

You forgot to add that if there were life after death what would be the point of that as well?
If you live life to reach an end then you will not be disappointed. If you live life for the journey then you get out of it what you put into it. Look for an extraordinary journey and go for it. If you are the actor in your life, who is the writer and the director? You are! Get busy living or get busy dying. Starboy |

I would agree that there is no ultimate reason, but how and when did this equate to no ultimate hope?

I never have really understood why people need big philosophical reasons for existence. I get along just fine doing my little thing every day...besides, who else would feed my turtle?

Um...yeah? Everything dies, including us. I don't see why I should be worked up over it. I plan to have fun while I'm here, and if there's no cosmic purpose to my existence, big deal. I'd rather live day to day than worry about what may or may not happen in the future.

ax-
Can't say I disagree with you, necessarily. I don't see the necessity for hope, though. I just happen to find living to be personally enjoyable. |
