Post Is unbelief "sinful"?

I would like to ask a question for any Christian theists present. Do you consider unbelief in God a "sin"? In other words, is it an immoral or evil act, in itself, for a skeptic to doubt the existence of the Christian deity?

From my experience, Christians seem to be split on this issue. Perhaps I'm generalizing, but Christians from denominations with Calvinist leanings tend to take the unbelief = sin view.

Not a theist, but disbelief seems to violate the 1st Commandment, at least in principle, doesn't it?
