Gilly, your letter probably never even reached Feinstein. Her staff received it, categorized it, and sent you a standard reply. It will probably just show up in a staff report on how people are reacting to Feinstein's public persona. It was worth sending the letter, though. Feinstein might end up reading it, and it is important to remind our representatives that they are alienating a part of their constituency. If you don't send letters, then you are counted as compliant or apathetic, both of which are acceptable to elected representatives.

In <a href="http://iidb.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=59&t=000494" target="_blank">this thread</a> I mentioned that DiFi's office mistakenly sent me the "we agree with you that the decision was wrong" letter. It is moderately discouraging, isn't it? Not that DiFi is the most liberal of Democrats (and I wasn't that thrilled with her as my mayor either). cheers Michael |
