Good news: I have just heard back from my Director, who was concerned about this story and is preparing to make an official statement on behalf of the museum. Thank you, II!

On the subject of the trans-atlantic cultural exchange, I should point out I'm only an adopted Brit: my native land gave the world Abba and pickled herring, and was partly responsible the emergence of the Minnesota accent. How does that stack up on the balance sheet?

I was about to write that a search through the Leicester Students' Union (who are hosting it, not the uni itself) site revealed no information on it, when into my inbox dropped a reply to my note from Prof Aldridge there.

Odd, but true. I've been to Chinese restaurants, Japanese restaurants, French restaurants, Italian restaurants, Mexican restaurants, Argentine restaurants, Greek restaurants, Indian restaurants, Thai restaurants... but not only have I never been to a "British restaurant," I've never even heard of one. There are some British pubs in the States however.

Anyone know of sites with good Ham -- that's Ken Ham -- links? What his usual spiel entails etc. I know we've heard it all before, but I'm feeling too lazy to search myself for once, and it needs to be specific to the Ham-meister (or should that be Hamster
