And some bad reading....
From a creationist textbook, for the high school level (Biology, God's Living Creation , 2nd Edition, G Parker et al., A Beka Books, 1997):
On Piltdown Man: "They [the Royal geological Society] announced that this 'dawn man' was not a primitive man at all. He was a very modern type of ape." (page 402) On abortion: "Since early times, sinful men and women have devised methods of killing unwanted children as they are developing in the womb, and those who recognized the sanctity of human life have denounced the practice. The ancient Hebrews learned the value of life from God's Word, but even the pagan Greek physician Hippocrates.....condemned those who killed the unborn." (p 127, and please notice my ellipsis) On poisonous plants: "Because of the curse, wild varieties of many food plants are highly toxic to man." (p 233, emphasis in original) On fossils: "...the fossil record merely indicates that trilobites, dinosaurs, and mammals were usually buried in different places (perhaps because they lived in different habitats)." (p 370, emphasis in original) Mods, move this to humor if you want to... and don't worry about sending me my private school vouchers. edet fur crapy typin [ April 07, 2002: Message edited by: Coragyps ]</p> |

One I missed earlier:
"...statistics show that most new cases of HIV infection in the U.S. result from disobedience to God's standards of morality." p 331 |
