Another convict of Blasphemy faces Death under Pakistani blasphemy laws.
I hope Secular Web grants this news some prominent place on its main page. This man deserves life and attention of the secular community.

The newspaper item is a little hard to follow. Do you have more information on what is behind this? Is Amnesty International involved? There is reference to a human rights activist:

The accused, in his statement before the court, stated that one day factory manager Waseem, along with his friends Naveed and Mustafa, took him to a house in Lahore Cantt and detained him there for 15.

"They tortured me when I refused to testify that some letters have been written by human rights activist Asma Jehangir to the complainant," he said.

Google didn't turn up much on this <a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Wajihul+Hassan" target="_blank">Wajihul Hassan</a> fellow. <a href="http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/apasia_story.asp?category=1104&slug=Pakistan%20Bla shphemy" target="_blank">Here's </a>an article that claims the accused is a Muslim.
