Test of faith - mwa hahaha! That's funny. That silly god - making it look like evolution occured to test our faith.
I have a question for creationists - if God made it look like evolution occured (in nearly every place we look) then why do you have a problem if it did occur? If evolutionary theory is useful to predict and explain the evidence (which clearly it is), then so what if A) god did it or B) God make it look like he did it. Yes I used the evolution evidence page, which in my posts I always gave credit (and linked to). Here it is again: http://www.gate.net/~rwms/hum_ape_chrom.html My goal, perhaps over spring break, is to re-write up this challenge, and include all the hokey creationist arguments against it, and refute them. Like that one above. I'm glad this "chromosome challenge" is being used shamelessly all over the place - very nice! scigirl |

I love these nutjobs. We have one here on campus. His major complaint is that "god" has been taken out of science. God is a necessary part of science. God makes everything happen exactly as it is supposed to. In fact, a universe with his god controlling everything BEHAVES EXACTLY THE SAME AS IF THERE WERE NO GODS. Now why exactly does he feel "god" needs to be pushed into the classroom?

I sincerely hope this "explanation" of the fused chromosome gains wide currency in creationist circles. Talk about utter capitulation! I'm trying to imagine some cretin actually using this argument with a straight face.
Shameless, stupid fundies! If there really is a god, I must be sure to thank it for so fully providing comic relief. |
