So, like, were they an item, or what?

There's a recent thread about gay characters in the OT which touches a bit on this topic.

Heck, just search for mark9950's posts, most have something to do with homosexuality.

I read something recently by a guy who supported the idea that Paul was a repressed homosexual.
Makes at least some sense. The guys was a world-class self-loather, describing himself as a terrible sinner, beyond redemption. Throw in his ideas about chastity and his famous misogyny and it starts to seem likely. Would certainly explain his drive. |

Kia ora, lunachick
You're in luck, i've still got the link: www.bidstrup.com/bible.htm It's a long essay, but it's in there somewhere. Should really do some more diggin and see if there's more to back it up. You've got to admit, it's an interesting idea. Would imagine discussing it with most Christians would lead to a pretty unpleasant conversation, though |

Thanks for the link. The conversation could get uncomfortable, but I shall remain calm, and try to do my homework. I will have some back-up with other non-theists and liberal Christians there, so I know I won't have to battle alone in my mission to expose the homophobic lies. Together we're gonna save the world, godammit! |
