Fastfalcon, can you point me to where in the Bible it says this will happen? I've read Revelation but not all the other messianic prophesies.

Have you actually read this stuff for yourself? Or are you getting most of your information from television bible scholars?

Revelatio 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
This is for the saints who died for Jesus, but it does say that we would get white robes. Here is more:
Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.
I think that all of those preachers are about 7-8.
Never heard of Bob Enyart, though.

When I see it, I may believe it.

Here's a cartoon I'd like to see: a group of people standing around outside a car with one of those bumper stickers that say "in case of Rapture this car will be unmanned." They're all looking around and scratching their heads. All around them are planes falling out of the sky, cars crashing, and piles of clothes.

Hey, bet you a billion dollars the Cubs win the World Series, I'm not saying when 'cause it's not given to me to know, let's just say it's sure to happen before your Rapture does.

You say we won't be able to see him (Jebus), but will know he's been here.

Then what do you make of these passages from Matthew:

]Matthew 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;

30 then will appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory;


Since, according to you, this apparently does not mean what it says, why is it in the bible? Or what does it mean?

Are you rejecting my theory that gawd will temporarily make the world flat (again) so that "all the tribes of the earth" can witness this great event at the same time?

If you are, I'm hurt. I thought it a brilliant piece of biblical exegesis.

I'll bet Jack Van Impe agrees with me.

BTW, who do you consider to be the world's foremost bible scholar?

That is the Second Coming. There are two stages to the Second Coming.
1. The Rapture. All believers will be taken up into heaven and evil (which has been restrained) will be revealed full force. 1 Cor 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
2. The Day of the Lord. This is not a literal day. rather, it is 3 1/2 years of tribulation. Here:

Mat 24:15 "Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION (3-1/2 years after the enforcing of the covenant, as in Daniel 9) which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand ),
Mat 24:16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
Mat 24:17 "Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house.
Mat 24:18 "Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.
Mat 24:19 "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days !
Mat 24:20 "But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath.
Mat 24:21 "For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.
Mat 24:22 "Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt

Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day [is] great, so that none [is] like it: it [is] even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

Joe 2:2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, [even] to the years of many generations.

Amo 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end [is] it for you? the day of the LORD [is] darkness, and not light.

This 3.5 years is known as the Great Tribulation. There are 7 years of tribulation after the Rapture, starting with the Peace Treaty of Prophecy. So the 3.5 years is the last years before Jesus comes. The Battle of Armageddon is:

Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
This is a description of Jesus' Second Coming.
