...randman seems to think that PE was created to explain the gaps above the level of species.

I am begining to think that the guy is a troll anyways.
I am wondering though, how widely accepted is the concept of PE. I have really only read about it in Gould's work (and I have now doubt that S J Gould does not fully accept evoluitonary theory) and as far as I undertand it he pioneered the idea. Ther prof in a course in evolutionary biology and polulation dynamics that I took certainly did not agree with Gould. |
