Talking Is God the master of Intelligent Design?

The Creationist Holy War, by John Brice Excellent article by Mr. Brice, and food for thought for all freethinkers as well as those of a religious bent. If God is as described by those who push intelligent design believe him to be, then he is an inept and cruel God.

This was a good article.

I like the observation which goes that why would a designer create hoards of animals that later become extinct? Reminds me of when I am doing homework and I have made a mistake:

God: Oops, these shouldn't be here.

(grabs pencil and strikes a line through the word "dinasours." Dinasours proceed to drop dead.)

Maybe a different god created the universe, but the current "God" has been assigned to manage it.
That could explain a few things.

Shadowy Man,

Actually, I don't think that would really explain anything.

Good article. Thanks. One of my favorite parts was this:
Quote:
Would an understanding of ID lead to the prediction of antibiotic resistant bacteria arising from overuse of antibiotics? No, but an understanding of evolution and natural selection certainly would. The plain fact is Intelligent Design theory is not a science.
How will you make specific predictions like this without evolution theory? You won’t get the answer from the Bible. And if evolution theory is disallowed, then we are forced to accept that living things cannot evolve and so bacteria can never be a problem. So someday in the future, when bacteria do evolve into something that overwhelms us because we refused to accept it, we can at least say I told you so.

Hal9000, I think this would be more appropriate in E/C, so I'm moving it.
