Ok, since my other thread went well, and I learned a lot...

I was only a "Christian" while I was young and impressionible. As soon as I was old enough to think for myself instead blindly acceptting what church leaders told me I left it behind.

I was never a Christian. I believed in some sort of semi-personal god during part of my childhood but I never believed in the divinity of Jesus.
Paladin, have you checked out the Atheists' testimony thread? You might find it interesting. |

I was never a christian. I was brought up without any religion or lack thereof, and I didn't really develop anything either. Call it ignorant agnosticism. Once I ran into the issue, I slid quite easily into atheism and never looked back.

I voted yes because I was raised to be one though I never really understood any of it. The notion of the trinity was utterly incomprehensible to me (still is). I believed fervently and passionately in God, however - the one who made the world and loves us - until I was 13 when I suddenly realised it was a load of rubbish.

I was a christian when I was younger. Around sixth grade I started to ask questions, and by eight I had lost faith in the people who were supposed to be saving me.

I was a Christian (of the "born again", evangelical variety) until I was 22 years old.
Raised by 2 Christian parents, went to Christian school, church and sunday school (and later, youth group) several times a week, spent 4 years overseas on the mission field, was involved in various "youth ministries" as a teen. I would second Godless Dave's reccomendation to read the Atheists' Testimony thread. |

I was never a Christian either. Neither of my parents were even theists as near as I could tell, and I consider myself very fortunate for that.
