(also wondering how something written on coin constitutes scientific proof of anything beyond engraving methods used?)

Anyone know how much crack they smoke in Woonsocket?

Boucher , as quoted in the article:

There is no assumption that a deity exists. It's a fact that a deity exists because we have In God We Trust on our coin. If it wasn't a fact we wouldn't have the word God in the Pledge of Allegiance, would we"
Does this mean there is no God in Canada then?

The Euros have no reference of God, does that mean that we Europeans are atheists (I'd wish this was true!)?

jewel,

LOL! There's a Johnny Cochrane-type slogan for you:

In God We Trust - Prove it or remove it!

Rather catchy, IMHO.

Wow - that's some logic working there. I guess that also means that there is a pyramid with a floating eye somewhere out there. It must exist - its on my dollar bill. Oh shit - gotta go. There's a giant eagle with arrows in its claw and a shield on its chest flying right into my house.....

If you look on the coins d.g. regina means (in Latin) "By the grace of Gawd regina"

Also: the pre-amble to Canada's non-constitution states that the Cdn people "believe in the supremacy of Gawd."

"There is no assumption that our deities exists. It's a fact that they exists because we have statues of them everywhere in Greece. If it wasn't a fact we wouldn't have the word Zeus in our prayers, would we," a Greek man said.
