I think that too much material is being covered for an hour long debate and that helps Hovind. I think it is best for such short debates to limit discussion to a very specific issue.

Hopefully the infidelguy will keep things on topic. He's obviously not going to be sympathetic to Hovind's rantings.

Anyone planning to call in and expose some of Hovind's lies? Men over ten feet tall, cytychrome c fantasies, moon dust proves the earth is young. The list is endless!

I was at work during that debate. How did it go? Has anyone saved a copy or made a transcript?

Apparently someone dropped off & I got on... Dr. Pigliucci could have prepared for Hovind's material better, but of course, it is a massacre. It is still on, but will be off in a few minutes.

I caught the last 20 minutes or so of a fantastic show. (Nice work Infidel Guy for setting that up.) Hovind argued that all dinosaurs were killed by men about 6,000 years ago in much the same way that native Americans hunted Buffalo. He also said that the word "dinosaur" was a made up word from the 19th century and that the Bible called them "dragons." Noah took these dragons on the ark with him but Hovind didn't say how they were fed. When asked how Noah handled a predator like T. Rex without being eaten, Hovind declared that T. Rex was an herbivore and rather docile rather than the raging monster of Hollywood movies. This made them easy to maintain on the ark.
