NZamoeba, I was also thinking about posting some pictures earlier, and I think I know which ones you're refering to. I come across a lot of horrible pictures, ect., mostly on a Green Party of Florida mailing list. have you ever come across the Eman Hjio pictures? (the ones of the baby boy who was shot in the head and chest along with his mother, who was holding him.) I tried to find URL, but I forgot what it was. those are perhaps the most gruesome pitcures I've ever seen. People here may be able to deny the pictures of Rachel Corrie, but these ones are pretty damning evidence.

OK...Let's just assume for arguments sake that it were true. You can always answer the question like this," I don't think it's true but if it were.........." and then justify it if you can or condemn it as you wish.

And Loren, if you don't want to use that example or one of the other real cases feel free to give any hypothetical situation at all that would ever cause you to say the IDF was wrong or went too far.

And according to Loren, while i'm not allowed to post gory pics on the board, i can link to them with a warning of content... so i'm trying to hunt the pictures down now, as i only received them by email, and that was a few months ago.

At face value, nothing can be concluded from this regarding the alleged barbarity of the IDF, without regard to how gory a picture you have. It is not news that Palestinians are being killed, any more than it is news that Israelis are. How would we know from such pictures whether the kid was deliberately targeted or just got hit with a stray bullet?

Agreed. Gore is not evidence of wrongdoing. After all, surgical procedures can be quite gory. Are surgeons evil?

Arguments don't come much more irrelevant than that...

People consent to surgery as it is often critical to their survival.

I don't think there have been many people that have consented to a bullet to their face... and never has such a procedure been critical to that persons survival... quite the opposite actually...

I never said that the child was the target of the IDF. His mother, who was holding him, was the one they shot at. There. now, does that make it any less of a tragedy for you? I also will try to track down a link to the pictures, but that may be slow-going as I recieved them in email.
