Boro,

Not to stick up for apologists, but in the religious context the term means "to defend," not "to apologize" in the usual sense. But you're joking, right?

Let's hope...

Actually, apologetics, while I certainly don't agree with many of their arguments, are to be expected. When you think about it, the burden of proof lies with the theists, not us. We're not trying to assert anything, unless your an extreme militant atheist. So I suppose we should see a few thousand more clones of "Evidence that Demands a Verdict".

Good one, Boro.

But if my understanding of "apology" requires more "defense," look it up in Merriam-Webster's online dictionary. There "apology" is given a primary definition of a "formal justification: Defense."

Edited to correct spacing errror. My apologies...

Edited again(!) to correct a non-working URL. I'm getting defensive here...

Yes, that was funny.

It took me a while to understand the true meaning of the term. Now that I know, I try my best to stand up for the veracity behind my faith.

spurly :

With all due respect, don't you think it might be better to addresss questions raised on some of the threads you've already bumped, instead of simply bumping more threads?
