OK, so you chat some women up and notwithstanding their looks you find out they have a crappy personality!!!

This annoys me no end. I bet I couldn't have a decent 'high-brow' conversation with most women in my town.

BTW, on a more serious note, have you considered the possibility that the girls you are "Chatting Up" are being deliberately annoying or nasty in the hope that you'll leave them the hell alone?

I think you would be surprised by what can be dragged out of people. I once managed a decent conversation on the nature of the universe with this girl who (seriously) got a 13 on her ACT and is dumber than dirt.

While some people have taken umbrage with this remark, I think it is probably accurate. It would be equally accurate if you said "I bet I couldn't have a decent 'high-brow' conversation with most men or women in my town." Let's face it, dumb people outnumber smart people by a large margin.
