I read this morning that 105 people were killed. All because a local newspaper suggested that Muhammad (spl?) might have married one of the contestants. What a peaceful religion.
If you dislike a vaguely insulting sentence in the paper, you send a complaint, petition, boycott them; you don't go on a bloody rampage. [ November 22, 2002: Message edited by: Hypernovean ]
|

Imagine if you dared to suggest that the prophet came into the world out of a vagina! Jihads left and right!
If Bush was smart, he would get one of his people to tweak some footage of Saddam to make it look like he said exactly that! That'll learn 'im! Go Dubble-yuh! |

They truly are sub-human. You can flame me for being politically incorect. You can accuse me of being a hypocrit because I say this and I'm a Buddhist but stuff it! I'll say what I think, and what I think is that they are worthless and utterly sub-human.
There should be an end to Islamic migration into western nations. We don't need them, we don't need to be dragged down into barbarity by being swamped by copious numbers of brutal, pig-ignorant scum who have no respect for civilized standards of behaviour. The man they burnt alive - how do they know he wasn't a fellow Muslim? The one they dragged from a car and beat to death - I mean for fuck's sake! These people don't belong on the same planet as us! |

over here, I do feel for the family of Bonnie Penner. I'm sorry they lost their daughter. But she was in a Muslim area trying win converts to Xianity. Um, how would the Xians feel if the Muslims in their community were going around trying to make converts? I know missionaries mean well, and in some cases, provide valuable services to those less fortunate, but not at the cost of trying to convert people to Xianity! Volunteer, send money to agencies like WHO or the Red Cross, but don't try to change peoples' beliefs! On a tangent, as I wrote about giving money above, I was reminded of the way the military handles charity. Once a year there is a Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) that allows members to donate to any kind of charity (local, state, national, int'l.). There is a pamphlet that they put out each year telling about each charity, and an important fact that I hadn't even thought of beforehand: for each it lists what percentage of your donations actually go to the people that the charity helps. We were told that in order to more effectively spread our dollars, to consider groups with low overheads. |

Apparently, the Red Cross has revised the death toll to 215! 500 others wounded and 4500 lost their homes. All over one goddamn comment?! WTF is wrong with this world?

It just continues to boggle my mind...
I really do think that education is the key to at least reducing the violence. Of course, how to implement this notion is another matter. |
