I read thru the new posts since last time I posted in this thread..... it requires for me to again attempt to explain my beliefs and again in length. I will get back on the computer in a few days as my time and energy will be directed to my son visiting for this long week end.

Brettc, your demanding and authoritative tone will have to accept that people may have other priorities in life than being rivetted to a computer.

(Not that I really agree with Sabine's idea that some of the Bible is divinely inspired---------none of it divinely inspired works for me.----------and as a consequence I don't have to get into such nit-picking arguments with atheists.)

But I still enjoy the intellectual exchange on this thread.

Sabine, I am responding to your demanding and authoritative tone that I answer your questions and your ad hominem attacks, that you're continuing here, that I'm not playing a fair game. I think I've pointed out pretty clearly that your game is no better. When you do get time, and I certainly have made no demands that you stay rivitted (ad hominem) to your computer, make sure you don't neglect to provide me with your definition of the word hypocrit. In fact, if you want to discontinue altogether as you've threatened many times, that's fine. Your refusals to seriously consider the validity of our hypotheticals given the testimonial I just posted of "God told me to do it" is becoming quite boring.

You have not addressed two main issues in this thread:

1. The atrocity of christian morality as defined in the Bible and the hypocrisy of christian culture has played a role in the stoning and drowning murders or children by their mothers. Not to mention a long history of other attrocities as bad or worse.

2. As I understand, Andrea Yeates thought she was Satan. This woman has stated "God told me to do it." With all the talk lately about scientific method from the christians including yourself, you have yet to provide any defense at all that this is not in fact true or at least a possibility worth considering.
