When you learn that people can disagree with you in good conscience Daggah, you will stop calling them dishonest as you have so often called me. There is justice even here, and I have no doubt you will be judged by your own tendentious rules and judgements. I have never seen it fail, though you may escape for a time. Quote:

It's a little sad how many "rational" and supposedly "honest" people here will say one day that the NT does not follow from the Old, and the the next day that the Christians just copied stuff out of the Old to give the appearance of congruency.
Which is your favorite argument Daggah? Or do you just switch back and forth? Rad "He takes the wise in their own craftiness." |

Thank you for your post Scombrid, an attempt to raise the bar here I hope.
No, you will not be "smitten." But you will miss out on on the many blessings I have gotten from going to certain churches. Rad |

I ask this because there is no contradiction; that it is completely possible to not be derived from the OT and to have a manufactured OT justification at the same time. Note: a manufactured one. |

Gotcha... So, if GOD decided to create the Bible as a great big joke on us, and won't be bothered to uphold any of it, you'd have no problem with it. Since "God-Justice", as has already been acknowledged several times by you, bears NO relation whatsoever to "Justice" as defined by humans, it seems pretty clear that GOD can't be held to human standards of decency or morality - so exactly WHAT is it that you rest your hopes on? Oh, I forgot - you obey the rule of the jungle - them who have the power make all the rules, and you're stuck with it. Some moral God you have there Radorth. Enjoy him, since you've already acknowledged TWICE now to me that you can't possibly trust anything that he says to you, since HE makes all the rules - and can obviously abrogate them any time he feels like. Thanks, but I'll take my secular humanism any day of the week over your shoddy "Might Makes Right" moral code. At least MY moral code has a basis in HUMAN definitions of "justice", "right", and "honesty" Your moral code, by YOUR OWN ADMISSION, can't say the same. Cheers, The San Diego Atheist |

Apparently, no one did. He just took it to himself that we need saving. Very much like the way Bush thinks Iraq needs saving.

1) There's a god 2) He's declared we need salvation 3) The method described in the Bible is the path to that salvation Otherwise this is just repeating baseless assertions. This paragraph is also just a red herring - no attempt was made to argue the point I made: that the whole salvation scheme is non-sensical. As usual, Radorth tap-dances around the argument. Quote:
You're a weasel, Radorth. |
