Talking E-Z Salvation! No effort required!

Heard an ad on my radio station for a local Pentacostal church. The pastor invited anyone down to see just how easy it is to be a proper Christian. All you have to do is believe in Jesus.

Whew! And here I thought I'd have to do good deeds or something like that. Salvation by faith alone sure is great.

It reminds me of commercials for diet pills that say you can lose weight and still eat like a pig, with no exercise.

Pardon my bump-up, but I thought I'd add the text of the ad. Here's the sales pitch from Pastor Starkey:

Quote:
Living a Christian life is so easy you can't fail. Many people started attending church and were told they had to live a certain way or they're unacceptable. Forget it! The Apostle Paul (sic) said it's by Faith in God's Grace that the promise will be sure to all children. He also said there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Visit us, get the whole truth. You owe it to yourself and your loved ones. It's your decision.
They have a website too. It's not a rabid fundamentalist church; really fairly ordinary for Pentecostals. But the radio ad sounded peculiar, juxtaposed with miracle diet commercials.
