Eldar,

Thank you. I know many women who have become pregant and delivered babies in the past year and most of the discussion (and research) has posed similar questions as you have. The health and safety of baby and mother is very important to women and their partners. Pregnancy should be a wonderful, fulfilling time and everyone involved should be knowledgable and working for the best possible outcome. Sometimes things go wrong, but hopefully the pregnancy you and your wife experience will be relatively easy, smooth, and without complications. Good luck and thank you for the kind words.

Dr. Rick,

Thanks again.

Can you clarify this a bit.

Does uncomplicated mean pregnancies that have no complications prior to the start of labor.

If a woman has no complications at the start of labor, but develops a complication at some point, is that considered "complicated" or "uncomplicated" for the purposes of the study.
