Oh, I know. I was just reasonably certain the Good Rev. accepts evolution to some degree or another. I don't know about this Dave Mathews character. He is nothing if not maddeningly evasive about his beliefs.

I saw a nature show the other day where they pointed out that African Bushmen thought the Wildebeast was the last beast created by the gods - and was pieced together from leftover parts.

Tell me, Douglas, why are the Bushmen's creation myths any less (or more) valid than the Christian myths?

HelenSL is a Christian who accepts evolution(AFAIK). I guees we'll have to let her say whether she uses the term "theistic evolutionist."

No one, but in Douglas's fevered imagination, if one does not believe in his reading of the Bible (including a more or less literal reading of the Hebrew creation myth), one cannot be a True Christian.

Just a point of correction, AFAIK Harun Yahya is a Moslem creationist running around making a stink about evolutionary theory.

Bob, I drop by from time to time, but mostly you probably are here all by yourself. I've found this forum incredibly rude and a waste of time. Here is a link to a good place to debate, but still probably a waste of time perhaps.

Just wondering, cuz it seems like im all by myself here.
I am one of these unthinking, dark age, brainwashed, idiot creationists that your high school biology teacher warned you not to listen to. And its not that they are concerned with creationism (cause thats obviously bunk..[sarcasm]) but because I have the audacity to question the "truth" of evolution. Kind of like the old church would ignore anyone who questioned the bible instead of honestly trying to give an answer. But as usual, I digress. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone and that I am (not that anyone here would believe it) in full control of my faculties. Alas, I never seem to have the time to join in on the wonderful banter that goes on in this forum, though I enjoy it immensly. Oh well, stay strong and represent well.

There are a lot of islamic creationists, though, of course, their creation story is a bit different from the xian one.

I suppose that shouldn't matter to those who are into ID, though. What seems to be important is that someone/something created everything else. Who cares if it was a giant Easter Bunny?
