A group of antigay activists is returning to New Hampshire next week to protest outside Dover High School because the senior class has nominated two lesbians as class couple. Members of the Westboro Baptist Church based in Topeka, Kan., have notified school officials and local police that they plan to picket outside the school Wednesday. Members of the church, which became known for its protests at the funeral of Matthew Shepard, a Wyoming college student who was murdered three years ago because he was gay, recently faxed antigay messages to school officials. In the fax, members of the group criticized Armand LaSelvas, superintendent of Dover schools, for allowing students to feature a lesbian couple as the senior class sweethearts in the yearbook. (AP)

I would be happy if these crazy-God-fearin-bible-thumping-earth-was-created-in-six-days-zealots would do me one small favor. STAY IN KANSAS!!!! That way, I know which state to avoid.

Maybe we could picket their hate-mongering church. Urgh.....Don't these people have anything better to do?

It is apparent the these bible thumpers have given no thought as to the origin of homosexuality, even at a base level. If God created everything, wouldnt that include 'Gay' People, who are made in his image, as are Heterosexuals. If his creations are perfect, then differences in sexuality may just be variations of such perfectness, or maybe god doesnt exist.

Hmmmm......Dover's not far from where I am. Maybe I need to make myself a sign and head up there for a little personal counter-protest.

And, if I do, I'll have to have my eleven month old with me. Yup, obviously exposing my little child to my sinful pro-gay rights viewpoint. This could be *fun*!

Those rednecks are really going to travel all the fucking way from Kansas to New Hampshire to picket a school? Hopefully they'll die on the trip there. Those intolerant mother fuckers...

Oh, no no no. See...God didn't create people gay. He made them in his image, y'know, and of COURSE God is...sexless. Wait a minute. I mean...well...just understand the God created us all PERFECT and therefore he didn't make any of us, um, that way.

No. Remember, these are the sort of people who don't believe in being "born gay." To them it is a choice a sinful choice like using drugs, commiting adultery, or dancing. Homosexuality is something that Jeebus can turn them away from, of only they would open themselves to His message and repent the sinful lifestyle choice that they made. Making arguments like "God made them gay" don't wash anymore than a murderer pleading on the stand "but God made me a killer!" Yay God
