Rethinking thinking
Quote:
I've spent a couple of days reading those boards and am stupefied. How can people end up like this? "Ooo, I can't wait for Damascus to be destroyed! I'm so excited!" What I'm wondering is, how easy is it to get a person into the state some of these people are? It seems to me that they are constantly revving their engines - they're stuck in some sort of feverish fretting mode. And it's not like they're consistent in their beliefs either; anything goes, as long as it's "One of those "hmmm ..." things". The above probably seems like ranting, but I'm genuinely puzzled; I've never seen anything like those people. So, what exactly is the psychological (or sociological) make-up that makes people act like that? I mean, why? Sorry about rambling, Antti |

The poster of the above said:
"In fact, once you get into the research you will come to the conclusion it is not a hoax, and there is something to it." Har de har. Depends on what materials you read, and trust, in your research. Only an ignorant person would believe the "magnetic repulsion" crap, for example. |

Also, how could the same force melt polar ice to cause a flood AND cause an Ice Age? The former needs more heat, the latter less. Pseudoscientific bullshit, all of it. |
