You bastard.
Here I was, holding out hope for an all-Canadian final, and you have to come along and shatter my delusions. [sob] I'm gonna go write in my diary now. |

I'm as surprised as anybody. No one expected them to beat Colorado, let alone make it this far.

I was so not surprised to see the Wild beat the Avs -- I had picked the Wild to get into the finals back in October, and I watched every game they played against the Avs.
The two "ugly duckling"/"Cinderella" teams in the Western Conference playoff both embody what I feel hockey should be all about: teamwork, hard work, individual skills, enthusiasm for the game, etc. etc. (notice "money" isn't on that list?). I really like the fact that none of the original six, and only one of the traditional power-houses (the Devils) has made it this far -- these are the most exciting playoffs in years! Besides, I think the "burned" Wings, Stars, and Avs will come back stronger and perhaps with slightly purer hearts next year! It's all good for the sport! |

I've been a Wild fan since about 1/3 into last year's season (2001).
They're my 2nd favorite team behind the Florida Panthers. I didn't even expect them to make the playoffs this year. I'm for them all the way, but if Anaheim wins the West, I'm for the Ducks then to win the Cup. |

Vancouver choked worse then Kent Hovind at a deposition.
I was really looking forward to a Vancouver-Ottawa final. Now I have to hold my breath to see if Ottawa makes it through. Please don't put New Jersey in another final. |

I was rooting for Ottawa, but on a hockey board I frequent a Sens fan started bad-mouthing the Wild, so he's forced me to root for New Jersey.

On the other hand, a final with Chara in it would also be great fun! |
