a shocking discovery
while I was looking for "molecular evolution: a phylogenetic approach" in the biological sciences library of my university - I spotted "Icons of Evolution" by Wells, sandwiched between hardcore textbooks on homoplasy and molecular phylogenetics
I felt like borrowing it out and returning it to the social sciences library |

The social science library doesn't need it either.

(Just slip a copy in somewhere up front, without any glue. I'm against defacing property that isn't mine. Heck, I don't deface my own property.) |

As if anyone browsing biological science is going to be convinced by it. Leave it where it is, where it can do no harm!

History of Science as a field includes the study of the various pseudosciences as well as the real McCoy as well as their places in larger society. Hey how many copies of George McCready Price books can now be found outside academic institutions? Not many. Is it amazing just how quickly even the memory of creationists goes down the drain. I bet most fans of creationism don't know who Price was. And yet YECism own much to him. |
