See!
That means you are a fan of Michael Savage of the Savage Nation fame, one of the most conservative radio talk show hosts around.

Michael starts his radio show with, "Greatings fellow infidels!"

He sure as hell isn't using "our" definition of "infidels"!

You Bastards!

I listened to Savage once and was laughing my ass off. I once had an evil thought that it would be great to act just like a raging fascist fundie to exaggerate and therefore highlight the hypocrisy.

Savage beat me to it, he's also quite good at it.

From the Newswire:

The Future Looks Bright

Richard Dawkins was at the AAI convention where Mynga Futrell and Paul Geisert introduced the term, and seems to have gotten carried along with the spirit of their presentation.

I still don't like the idea, but I like Mynga and Paul and appreciate the work they have done, so I'm not inclined to put any work into disparaging the term. If it doesn't fly, it doesn't fly.

Default I am a Bright

I think that more or less makes my view clear.

I am a Bright.

I am proud to be a Bright.

I like being a Bright for possibly one reason above all others.

Because I am a Bright, my descriptive title proclaims what I am.

Many of my other descriptive titles, which are all true, do not.

I am an a-theist. (Not a theist)

I am an in-fidel. (Not a believer)

I am a sceptic. (Critical of the assertions of others)

All of these terms proclaim my position with respect to, and therefore dependent upon, the position of others.

I am a Bright. It's mine.

There is, of course, another big reason why I like being a Bright.

It's got ferk all to do with euphamism, which the originators know very well, but are too sly to admit.

It's a weapon, and if we have the sense to use it well, it can do a great deal of damage to the established memes in our societies. Anyone who writes this off as some namby-pamby fairy name should just buy some hot dogs and pop corn, then sit back and enjoy the show. The Gullibles are going to hate it. That's the point. What's the opposite of a Bright? A Dull!!! This isn't a feather. It's a mini-gun.

I'm a Bright.

It's not about what I'm not, in relation to their views.

It's about what I am in relation to mine.

Thanks for your time,

I'll get my coat.

Living the god-gree life,

GodfreyLife

Bear in mind that one man with a minigun is no match for 1000 people with pistols.

Calling yourself a 'bright' really just smacks of narcissm ala Totalarianist and his messageboard, no matter what new meaning you try and attach to the word.
