"Would you please tell me the name of the HUMAN responsible for putting all of the above mentioned wonders here for us to enjoy. I would like to give him my personal thanks and apologize for not giving him his just dues in the first place"

Not a human. Responsibility lies with Random Chance at Big Bang Productions. However, in that Random Chance is not a sentient entity, it does not recognize gratitude. Your efforts would, therefore, be in vain. Suggest you pursue more constructive endeavors.

Please include his address, phone number, and e-mail address if possible.

I could try the phone book or directory assistance, but why bother when I have someone right here who seems to always have an answer for everything.

Thanks a bunch. I'll be waiting.
Glad you like them. Do you think I used too much green? At first I thought I should blend colours, perhaps mix in some reds. But red's a little too stark, don't you think? I didn't want my creations looking "whorish" so I decided to go with "earthy" colours. (well, they weren't considered earthy colours *then*, of course).

Now, the mountains were a bit of a challenge, and I wasn't sure how to pull off the fossil trick. *That's* when it occurred to me - global flood! Now I realized I pissed a few people off in the process, but really, waddathey gonna do, right? I mean, who are they to question me?

Oceans were easy - a couple of simple and abundant elements and we were on our way. (By 'we' I mean 'me', of course...just speaking figuratively so as to make you feel more 'included').

No email necessary, by the way. I'll consider this thanks enough.

Please keep enjoying my snow and rain as best you can. I understand these can sometimes be inconveniences, with the deaths due to flooding and the occasional avalanche. Actually, I've been meaning to do something about that, but I've been spending an inordinate amount of time trying to help the Raiders win the Super Bowl, and now it looks like *that* project's gone in the shitter!

Oh well...at least I've got impending religious war to keep me happy. It's so cute when children fight for their parents' afffection.

Don't you think?

HA HA HA HA HA!!!

It's refreshing to know that creationists can still surprise me once in a while; I was afraid that I had built up a tolerance to the humor value of their ridiculous arguments. I've never heard this one before- atheists claim that humans created the universe! This is great!

For one part of your question, I think we can thank modern industry for cranking out the polution that gives extra color to the sunsets.

I agree with the original poster of this thread. The universe we have is to complex to have just happened over time. The universe had to have a benevolent creator. And I have come to the conclusion that the Creator was the God of the Bible.

So I will thank him as well.

Well ok then, if that's the case, do me one small favor.

Would you please tell me the name of the being responsible for putting God here so he could make a universe for us to enjoy? I would like to give him my personal thanks and apologize for not giving him his just dues in the first place.

Please include his address, phone number, and e-mail address if possible.

Thanks a bunch. I'll be waiting.

So what you are saying is that if something is beyond your understanding, it must have "supernatural" origins?

Drop a jar of marbles on the floor. The resulting "pattern" or placement is incredibly complex. Did you design it? Who did? What needs to be accounted for beyond what you actually observe?

Don't be fooled into working the math backwards - the chance of receiving *any* hand in poker is astronomically small. Should every poker hand be chalked up to supernatural intervention?

I'm curious of two things:

1) why does this creator have to be the god of the Bible, specifically?

2) why does this creator have to be "benevolent"?

Sonny Burnett,

On the off-chance that you're not just another drive-by theist, I'll dignify your snide, putrid little post with a response.

you say that there is no God.
Incorrect. I am an atheist. All that that means is that I do not believe that a god exists.

Sincerely,

Goliath

Hmmm. Diseases are complex things too, so I guess God must have created them, yes?...out of the kindness of his omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient heart, of course. ;-) Thanks a heap, Jehovah! :-p
