Default Brain Teaser

I saw this on another forum and when I saw the answer I said of course!

Here it is:

Using only 4 zeros (0) and any mathematical operations obtain the number 24.

Should be simple, right?

P.S. By mathematical operations I mean only operators, the only numbers are the 4 zeros and the 24.
You can't add any real or (or non-real) numbers to the equation.

In other words you can't do anything like: 0+0+0+0+24=24

This does not strike me as possible.

I figured out the answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

clue: you need an operator that will change 0 into a non-zero number.

Wink Hehehe....

This is evil...

But then, you have to think, "operators? just what is an operator?"

I was going to post the answer, but then I thought, "why spoil it for all the others?"

So, hehehehe, keep cogitating!

Phew.. finally got it!!

I started working on it but was having problems, then I saw that Kelly got it, so I was especially determined to figure it out.

The extra effort paid off and now I have it.

I'd have been embarrassed if I couldn't have gotten it... though it will be interesting to see if we all agree on the answer.

This is cruel! My brain is about to explode. I'm assuming the operators are arithmetic? No? Is Lambda Calculus or some other esoteric device required?

Clues please?
