Hmmm... exorcism... according to the Gospels, Jesus Christ had performed some exorcism. He even talked to certain demons before driving them into some pigs, which then proceeded to stampede into a nearby lake.

Just a cheap shot from the bible againt the xian god's omnipotence.
(Judg 1:19 NRSV) The LORD was with Judah, and he took possession of the hill country, but could not drive out the inhabitants of the plain, because they had chariots of iron. Andy |

Satirist Harry Shearer noted that all of the people having demons exorcised from them were young women. Then he asked why the Pope couldn't exorcise the demons from those paedophilic priests.
Albert Cipriani is back - maybe he can explain it. |

You know this thread is kinda strange.
I just finished reading the Catholic Church and the Pope's new directives concerning the official position on possession and exorcism. Strange that the official line of Popel Propaganda redirects the concept of evil/satan/demon possession into the area of mental illness and the "dark places in the heart of all Men". In other words the pope says there aint no demons, there aint no devil/satan and evil is part of every human and there is no "real" entity that is "evil" and can take possession of the human body. We must fight the evil that lies at the heart of all men............blah, blah..honk..homk. Wolf <img src="graemlins/boohoo.gif" border="0" alt="[Boo Hoo]" /> |

As I've said elsewhere, it warms my heart to see the Roman Catholic Church marching so boldly into the 21st century.
