I dunno. I put them on the same list as Holocaust deniers, HIV-AIDS deniers, and creationists. In each of the cases for their pet beliefs to be true would require a vast conspiracy of hundreds of thousands of people.

Indeed. A few years ago, I had a student try to tell me that the government was hiding the fact that alien spacecraft regularly visit the Earth and abduct humans for various purposes. I pointed out to her that no one has provided any evidence for this assertion.

"That's just it," she replied. "The fact that nobody can prove is proof of a conspiracy."

When you start claiming that the lack of evidence for your conclusions is proof that they're correct, you've left the realm of reason.

Cheers,

Michael

Well those reflectors could have been placed on the Moon by an unmanned spacecraft. After all the Soviets, who do not claim to have landed men on the Moon, have placed reflectors on the Moon.

We need some burly, gung-ho, cowboy wannabe evolutionary biologists in the world.

Sooner or later, someone will punch out Ken Ham.

What about that cowboy paleontologist that the Sam Neil character in "Jurassic Park" was supposedly based on?

I dunno. Now that I think about it, I think the guy may be on to something. I mean, if Aldrin refused to swear on the Bible... That's good enough proof for about 40% of Amerka right there.

Ever seen a Saturn V take off. Von Braun designed the thing for a mission to Mars. Kinda silly to put men on top of one of those things and not send them to the moon.
